HackQuest, an all-in-one Web3 developer education platform, has partnered with Telos to launch the Telos Learning Track. This initiative connects aspiring Web3 developers to build projects on the world’s fastest EVM from zero to one.
Telos is a decentralized blockchain ecosystem renowned for its world-class Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM), tested as the fastest globally, and its high-speed consensus layer, Telos Zero. As a Web3-first, real-world-ready blockchain, Telos stands out for its unique features such as dual environments on one chain, maintaining 100% uptime since December 2018, and a fast finality with a 0.5-second block time. The network’s high transaction throughput of 15,200 TPS, fixed and low gas fees, and robust on-chain governance further enhance its appeal. Telos is expanding its capabilities with novel Zero Knowledge (zk) technology, promising to enhance privacy and scalability for global use cases.
Committed to creating a more inclusive and efficient future for decentralized applications, Telos is dedicated to driving progress and expanding the possibilities of Web3 technology, making it an ideal platform for diverse applications ranging from gaming and NFTs to DeFi and no-code deployments.
Telos Learning Track: Build on the World’s Fastest EVM
The Telos Learning Track is a free, self-guided online developer learning track designed to introduce aspiring Web3 builders to the Telos ecosystem.
Telos Learning Track starts with an introductory course that covers foundational concepts and provides a comprehensive overview of the Telos ecosystem. The learning track begins with Introduction to Telos and Introduction to Telos Technology, which explores Telos architecture, EVM, Telos Zero, and nodes. After the introductory course, learners progress through courses on Telos development, covering topics like Secret Auctions, Staking Protocols, and Automatic Payment Protocols.
The “Implementing Secret Auctions on Telos” course instructs participants on deploying a secret auction contract utilizing Solidity. This includes topics such as data structures, auction process controls, and encrypted bidding. The “Building a Staking Protocol on Telos” course covers units on Contract Initialization, Querying Pool Information, Adding and Updating Pools, Staking and Withdrawal Operations, Safe Reward Transfer Function, and Interaction. This course aims to provide learners with the necessary skills to effectively manage staking protocols.
The Building an Automatic Payment Protocol on Telos course covers Import Dependencies, Define Structures and State Variables, Project Initialization, Implement Automatic Payment Functions, Realize Withdrawal Function, and Interaction, featuring a hands-on project where learners implement a continuous and automated payment system through smart contracts, charging by the second to ensure a smoother and more continuous payment process. This practical experience aims to eliminate concerns about delayed payments, making the learning highly relevant and applicable.
Designed to cater to various learning styles, the Telos Learning Track provides a flexible, self-paced approach that suits independent learners and those who excel in a semi-structured educational environment. HackQuest features a personal dashboard for tracking progress and setting goals, and a mission center that gamifies learning through quests and milestones.
For those seeking a more interactive experience, HackQuest offers free complementary co-learning camps that are cohort-based and instructor-led. The Telos Learning Track co-learning camps include five online or IRL sessions, accommodating approximately 50 participants per cohort. These camps are two weeks long, cohort-based, instructor-led, and available in both English and Mandarin. Moreover, there will be Telos developer meet-ups, including two IRL events, with approximately 60-80 founders, developers, and investors, offering opportunities to enhance development and networking in the Web3 space.
What to Expect for Telos Learning Track
Upon completing the learning track, participants will receive notable recognition and various opportunities designed to support their growth in the crypto world. Each participant will be awarded attestations issued by Telos, certifying their achievements and expertise.
Developers are also encouraged to participate in beginner-friendly Telos mini-hacks, which feature semi-guided and capstone projects for practical building experience and a chance to win a share of the prize. The prize pool ranges from $500 to $1,000 per month. The mini-hacks will also be featured on the HackQuest Hackathon page , allowing developers to easily access additional information and submit their projects. In the future, Telos and HackQuest will continue their partnership, with Telos sponsoring future hackathons.
The Telos Learning Track is a comprehensive educational initiative designed for aspiring Web3 builders, offering a structured introduction to the Telos ecosystem. Participants earn certifications and Telos attestations, which are direct translations of their technical skills and project development capabilities on Telos. In addition, Telos Learning Track builders could tap into exclusive industry networks, which lays a solid foundation for their professional growth and innovation in the crypto world.
The Telos Learning Track synergizes with the HackQuest community by providing learners with hands-on experience using the world’s fastest and truly Web3-first EVM. Participants will enjoy post-learning resources such as mini hacks, meetups, and co-learning opportunities with Telos, presenting an unparalleled chance for developers to further contribute to the Web3 landscape and drive prospective mass adoption.
