Lisbon, Portugal, April 10, 2025
For two days, Lunar Strategy HQ will turn into a lab focused on building software with AI.
Vibe Haus, an AI community focused on building software with the latest tools, models, and surfaces, is hosting its inaugural hackathon on April 12-13 in central Lisbon.
This two-day event invites creators, engineers, and product leads across industries to dive into the rapidly evolving world of building software, apps, and products using AI. The focus is on getting hands-on with the latest models and tools in a collaborative environment.
“We believe that the most exciting innovations often emerge from a place of open exploration,” says Shann Holmberg from Vibe Haus. “The hackathon is designed to be a playground for product leads and creative minds in Lisbon, a space where anyone with an idea, no matter how nascent, can start building and see what unfolds with the power of AI.”
No prior coding experience is required. An introductory workshop on the first day will provide the fundamentals needed to get started. Participants will get guidance on the latest best practices and learn collaboratively in a supportive environment. Going from idea to initial product (0 → 1) has never been easier.
“We’re product leads in the intersection of design & technology with years of experience from global brands and applications with millions of users” says Tim Haldorsson from Lunar Strategy.
The hackathon culminates in a project showcase where participants share what they built. While prizes will be awarded, the primary goal is fostering learning, connection, and sparking innovation within the vibrant Lisbon tech community.
“The AI space is moving incredibly fast. If this excites you, we’d love to hear from you. Let’s explore the latest tools, learn, and build together. This hackathon provides a prime opportunity to engage with this bleeding tech firsthand” says Erik Nilsson from Vibe Haus.
Today, 8/10 teams in the latest Y Combinator W24 and S25 batches are using Cursor to build their products, and Anysphere—the team behind Cursor—has recently reported $200M+ ARR, with a team of just north of 30 people.
Vibe Haus aims to be a community at the forefront of applied AI, bridging the gap between industries, design and technology using the latest tools. The hackathon reflects this commitment to fostering local talent and driving innovation globally and within the region. Let’s cook.
