Bittensor Teams Up with HackQuest to Launch Global Subnet Ideathon and Learning Path

Singapore, Singapore, January 9th, 2026, Chainwire

Bittensor, a decentralized computing network, and HackQuest, a Web3 education and developer platform, have collaborated to launch Bittensor x HackQuest: Build on Bittensor, the first Bittensor initiative purpose-built to onboard developers and miners globally. The campaign focuses on expanding Bittensor’s decentralized ecosystem by combining Bittensor’s decentralized computing infrastructure with HackQuest’s global developer education and local execution capabilities.

From Infrastructure to Hands-On Participation

Build on Bittensor continues the collaboration between Bittensor and HackQuest, kicking off with a developer ideathon held in Kolkata on December 27 as part of a broader multi-city tour. This event brought together developers, university students, and tech enthusiasts for face-to-face collaboration, hands-on subnet building, and in-depth discussions on Bittensor’s infrastructure, subnet mechanics, and mining opportunities.

Bittensor and HackQuest are also launching the first Bittensor global online Subnet Ideathon, inviting developers and miners to design and build their own Bittensor subnets and earn rewards through hands-on participation. The Ideathon lowers the barrier to subnet creation and mining engagement, encouraging experimentation with incentive mechanisms, miner–validator coordination, and real-world use cases.

To further support global onboarding, HackQuest will soon roll out a dedicated Bittensor Learning Path, a structured curriculum covering Bittensor fundamentals, subnet architecture, mining mechanics, and practical onboarding. This learning path will serve as a step-by-step guide for new miners and developers, ensuring they gain the skills needed to contribute meaningfully to the ecosystem. HackQuest also expands Bittensor’s reach through in-person workshops, university programs, hackathons, and co-learning initiatives worldwide, creating clear entry points for students, miners, and tech enthusiasts to engage with decentralized computing.

Growing a Structured Global Developer & Miner Pipeline

Through a combination of learning resources (including the upcoming Learning Path), community programs, and offline events, Build on Bittensor aims to provide a sustained, structured way for developers and miners to understand and engage with the ecosystem. Rather than one-off exposure, the campaign focuses on long-term participation, helping new entrants progress from education to experimentation, and ultimately to active, rewarded contributions as miners or subnet builders.

As the campaign expands through 2026, Bittensor and HackQuest will continue to roll out workshops, hackathons, Subnet Ideathons, and community initiatives across the globe, prioritizing miner engagement and supporting the growth of decentralized computing.
